April 4 – Aspect Changes, Chromatic Items & more!
Aspects
Aspect Extracts and Aspect Distillations
- Aspect Extracts will no longer drop as loot, and will now only drop as Aspect Distillations (i.e. we are phasing out Aspect Extracts)
- Players will still be able to convert existing Aspect Extracts into Aspect Distillations via crafting with the Alchemy Skill or exchange them at the Prevalia Exchange Officer for Arcane Essence
Aspect Items
- The drop rate for Aspect Cores, Aspect Distillations, and Aspect Phylacteries have been moderately increased
- Aspect Cores will now weigh 0.1 stones (previously were 1)
Chromatic Items
- Players will now encounter Chromatic Cores and Chromatic Distillations as somewhat rare loot items from most systems
- Players can convert Chromatic Items into specific Aspect Cores/Distillations through the Alchemy skill
Alchemy
Chromatic Conversions
- Players can convert Chromatic Cores into specific Aspect Cores on a 1-to-1 ratio using the Alchemy skill under the “Chromatic -> Core” category
- Players can convert Chromatic Distillations into specific Aspect Distillations on a 1-to-1 ratio using the Alchemy skill under the “Chromatic -> Distill” category

Phylactery Conversions
Aspect Cores
- Players will now be able to convert Aspect Phylacteries into either Aspect-Specific Cores or Chromatic Cores using the Alchemy skill under the “Phylactery -> Core” category
- Players can convert Phylacteries into their matching Aspect Core type on a 4-to-1 ratio
- Players can convert Phylacteries into a Chromatic Core on an 8-to-1 ratio
Aspect Distillations
- Players will now be able to convert Aspect Phylacteries into either Aspect-Specific Distillations or Chromatic Distillations using the Alchemy skill under the “Phylactery -> Distill” category
- Players can convert Phylacteries into their matching Aspect Distillation type on a 4-to-1 ratio
- Players can convert Phylacteries into a Chromatic Distillation on an 8-to-1 ratio
Rental Rooms
- Players can now enter Rental Rooms while recently Flagged in PvP so long as they do not have a Heat of Battle effect still in place
Houses
- Players now have the option in houses when removing players from Friend, Co-Owner, and Ban Lists to “Remove Alt Chars”
- If a player has “Remove Alt Chars” toggled and removes a player from the either Friend or Co-Owner list, it will also remove all other characters from both the Friend and Co-Owner lists who share that same Account of the select character (will eventually check same OutlandsID as well)
- If a player has “Remove Alt Chars” toggled and removes a player from the Ban List, it will also remove all other characters from the Ban List who share that same Account of the select character (will eventually check same OutlandsID as well)
- Note: Characters will only be removed from these lists if the acting player has a higher access level in the house than the list character (i.e. a Friend of the house cannot use this mechanic to remove an alt character that is currently on the Co-Owner list)
- Players will receive a system message telling them how many characters were removed from lists
Interactions
- Players will no longer be able to Use Items, Lift Items, or Use Skills while they are simultaneously Hidden and Squelched due to a creature ability (such as The Forgotten King’s ‘Mummification’ effect)
- Player can now use Axes to chop Addons/Containers in houses even while they have a Harvest Ban in effect
Expedited Creature Corpse Decay
Creature corpses that contain 0 items may now decay faster than normal under the following circumstances:
- If a creature corpse has been carved and contains 0 items for a consecutive 60 seconds, the corpse will decay
- If a creature corpse has not been carved and contains 0 items for a consecutive 5 minutes, the corpse will decay
Note: Standard corpse decay is typically 15 minutes for most creatures but may vary in certain circumstances (such as Bosses, Event Creatures, etc)
Pilfering and Mugging
- When players successfully steal from creatures through Pilfering or Mugging, they can now also receive loot items similar to those that would appear on the creature’s corpse, but instead will be placed in the player’s Backpack
- Players will not encounter basic loot items such Gems, Magical Items, Reagents/Bandages/Arrows/Bolts but will potentially encounter Special/Rare loot items that could normally be found on creature corpses (including Dungeon-specific items) with chances adjusted based on any mechanics that increase Special/Rare loot chances for players
- Players can continue to encounter Black Goods as normal
- Players can now also receive Event-specific loot items from Pilfering or Mugging creatures, such as Winterlands Tickets or Holiday Snowglobes

Smoke Bombs
- There is now a 10 second cooldown that must pass after using the Detect Hidden skill before a player may use a Smoke Bomb

- Players can now freely Reset their Taming Bestiary Upgrades without cooldown if they currently do not have any Followers controlled
Mount Gear
- Mount Gear on player Mounts is now weightless (previously was 1 stone per item)
